This 10,000 SF facility for Bank One (formerly NBD Bank, N.A.) was completed in 1999 as a “Build-to-Suit” facility for the private bank tenant. The basic structure consists of perimeter load-bearing masonry with interior tube steel columns supporting steel bar joists and a mansard concrete tile roof all around. Inside, the main entry features a coffered barreled-vault ceiling with solid stained cherry wood trim and mouldings and natural alabaster light fixtures. As the second building constructed within a newly developed “financial park” (adjacent to the Fidelity Investments building completed in 1998), it was the client’s desire that this building should symbolize the strength and stability representative of a successful financial institution while establishing it’s own identity and independence within the development.
